The Beautiful and Healing Properties of Baltic Amber – Bambeado Review

September 12, 2016

This post is a review of Bambeado Baby & Children’s Natural Amber. I received a free, amber bracelet in exchange for my honest review. All research and opinions are my own.

My babies are 8, 6, and 4. We’ve breastfed, co-slept, used cloth diapers, homeschooled, practiced attachment parenting and almost every other parenting trend our generation has embraced. However, somehow we missed the Baltic amber teething necklace revolution.

bambeado3Those supporting wearing Baltic Amber tout reasons that range from the mystical to the scientific. Mystical views claim that amber absorbs negative energy, releasing positive, healing energy and can help heal the bladder and kidneys of various ailments. Scientifically, we are told that amber has mild, magnetic powers which has naturopathically been tested to ease sickness caused by motion or vertigo. Baltic amber also contains an analgesic substance called succinic acid which is released by heat. So, when worn on the skin, the body’s warm temperature brings this out of the mineral and absorbs it into the skin, allowing it to act as a natural pain reducer.

Are these all true? Maybe. Do I have actual proof. Sorry, no. BUT, I can tell you that Baltic amber is very pretty. Especially all the different colors they come in! I love the stunning look of combining dark, light, and red amber stones together in the bracelet that I chose from their beautiful collection.

Not only does Bambeado sell teething jewelry for children, and jewelry for adults in Baltic amber. They also have a line of silicon jewelry for women to wear as an alternative to regular jewelry while raising teething babies. What mom hasn’t had her hoop earrings tugged, her bauble necklaces drooled on, and her silver bangles used as a mesmerizing toy while holding her baby? Bambeado has you covered with a stylish assortment of silicon pendants, bead and seed necklaces and bracelets.

So, whatever your reason for buying Baltic Amber, either for its debatable healing elements or for its undeniable beauty, Bambeado is a reputable and cost-effective source that ships internationally!

Like all the best ideas, Bambeado started as a simple solution to a big problem.  As a first time mother, Kate Brown (founder of Bambeado) was at first sceptical about Baltic Amber beads when a friends child was spotted with a gorgeous little Baltic amber necklace, but was soon blown away by the whole experience. From these humble beginnings, Bambeado was born in 2010.

Today Bambeado is owned by Andrew Murray and Linda Chase who are committed to sourcing products that are beautiful, natural and practical. This dedication to quality has seen Bambeado grow from humble beginnings into a global business. Their products can be found in over 400 stores throughout New Zealand and Australia, plus a strong presence through China, Singapore, Malaysia and the newly opened US market.
