5 Cutest Must Haves for Your Kindergarten Back-to-School Clothes Shopping List

August 6, 2019

It’s that time of year to start gearing up and getting ready for the upcoming school year! Among the backpacks, binders and ballpoint pens, you’ll also want to equip your budding scholar with a stylish, yet functional, back-to-school wardrobe. Get inspired and take a look at some of our favorite must have items for your kindergarten back to school clothes shopping list!

1. Tops

A great place to start is with some shirts and blouses. Depending on the weather in your location, you may find yourselves stocking up on more tank tops than sweaters, or vice versa. Keep in mind your little girl is going to be running around on the playground in addition to sitting in the classroom, so look for pieces that will be functional for all of her school activities. Consider some of these charming, playtime friendly little girl shirts or their layering cardigans.

2. Bottoms

Next on the list of things to get are a couple pairs of pants and skirts. It’s good to have bottoms that are easy to pair with-everyone loves a pair of reliable jeans-but throw in some fun pieces,
too! Everyone loves a pop of color, and being able to effectively twirl in your skirt is certainly an added bonus.

3. Dresses

You’ll definitely want to stock up on a couple of high quality dresses for the upcoming school year. Having a couple of cute, easy on and off pieces will certainly prove to make those rushed
weekday mornings a little more manageable. It will also let your kindergartner dress herself without the hassle of pairing blouses and skirts or t-shirts and jeans, giving her some independence. Find some that are easy to dress up or keep casual-easy to pair with some high top tennis shoes or dainty sandals to achieve a look she wants!

4. Outerwear

Be sure to come to the new school year prepared for the inevitable cold weather. Buying a warm, neutral coat and fun boots will definitely prove to be worth it. Consider also look for some fun scarves and hats to mix and match for optimal cuteness! These warm weather accessories are an easy way for your kindergartner to easily express herself and her style while also staying bundled up for the cold.

5. Accessories

Top off all of those super cute new outfits with the perfect accessories! Finding the perfect backpack to store all of those notebooks and pencil boxes is an absolute must. You’ll also want to be sure to get some trendy hair scrunchies, and find a cute water bottle to help keep her hydrated through the day. Stock her new bag up with all of the pretty little things to help her feel special and prepared for whatever the day tosses at her!

Get it, Girl!

Now that she’s ready with a closet of new outfits and a backpack full of goodies, she is set for her first day of Kindergarten. This is a pretty big deal, both for you and for your little lady, so be
sure to take a step back and soak it all in. Enjoy this next step with your new kindergartner!
